The FIMBA Alumni Network (fimbaalumni.com) is a non-commercial platform built and operated by graduates of the Football Industries MBA programme at the University of Liverpool Management School. It exists independently, run by alumni for alumni. You can contact us at info@fimbaalumni.com.

When you register for and use the platform, we collect: — Your name, email address, graduation year, and member type — Professional information you choose to provide: current and previous roles, organisation, location, LinkedIn URL, biography, sector and function tags — Content you create on the platform: alumni stories, news submissions, job postings, event listings, messages, and other contributions — Technical information: login timestamps and basic activity logs for security purposes We do not collect payment information, sensitive personal data, or data from third parties.

We use your data solely to operate the FIMBA Alumni Network, including: — Maintaining your membership account and profile — Enabling you to connect and communicate with other members — Displaying your profile in the member directory (subject to your visibility settings) — Sending you platform notifications and email updates you have opted into — Administering the platform and ensuring its security We do not use your data for commercial purposes, sell it to third parties, or use it for advertising.

Our lawful basis for processing your personal data is legitimate interests — specifically, the legitimate interests of the FIMBA alumni community in maintaining professional connections, sharing opportunities, and supporting one another's careers. We have balanced these interests against your rights and reasonable expectations as a member of a professional alumni network you have chosen to join.

You control your profile visibility through your account settings: — Full public: your profile is visible to anyone, including search engines — Network: your profile is visible to logged-in FIMBA Alumni Network members only — Private: your name and headline are visible to members; other details are hidden Your email address is never shared with other members. All member-to-member communication takes place through the platform's private messaging system. Platform administrators can access member data for the purpose of managing registrations, moderating content, and maintaining the security of the platform.

Your data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted in Ireland (AWS eu-west-1) within the European Union. We apply row-level security controls to ensure members can only access data they are authorised to see. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain records for legal or security purposes.
